Practicing Responsible Business

How can a calendar company help the world to be a better place?

We would love the world to be a better place because of Calendar Club, and we know that by practising responsible business can help us get there.
At every step we consider how we can use our business as a force for good.

With the right focus and intent, we can do our bit to make things better.

We’ve Planted 1 million trees so far!

Since 2021 we have partnered with Eden Reforestation Projects to fund their reforestation and poverty alleviation efforts worldwide. The more trees we can plant the more jobs created, ecosystems protected and improvements in climate change. Take a look below at examples of Eden Reforestation Projects

Restoring Forests & Wildlife

Eden Reforestation Projects educates locals to restore forests which protects the soil, lakes, rivers, unique plants, and endangered wildlife, giving back life to local communities. In 2018 Eden Projects opened a nature centre in Madagascar to expand one of the last green spaces in Mahajanga, rehabilitate wildlife, and engaged the community in conservation efforts. The nature centre has rescued and rehabilitated frogs, lemurs, snakes, chameleons, turtles, iguanas, and even spiders.

3,000+ Fair wage Jobs Created

With support from Calendar Club, Eden Reforestation Projects have been able to plant 1 million trees which has provided 3,220 fair wage jobs and empowered local communities. Just in Madagascar alone Eden Reforestation projects has employed thousands of people living in extreme poverty to produce, plant, and guard to maturity millions of trees every month across the world.

Alleviating Poverty

Eden’s Reforestations work has educated citizens on the damaging effects of deforestation. And built-up ecosystems to reduce the risk and impact of natural disasters such as floods, forest fires, landslides. This has improved sustainable food production systems and ultimately income generation. For example, in Parnaguá, Piauí, Brazil, Eden Reforestation Project efforts helped the natural landscape of Lagoa de Parnaguá, the largest lake in Brazil, after deforestation caused a 94% reduction in its water volume. The water levels began to rise restoring the lake which is a source of livelihood with 200 families living of fishing plus residents who worked with irrigation, subsistence farmers, and tourism.

As you can see it’s a lot more than just planting trees!

If you’d like to help you can plant a tree for $1.50. It’s a small price to price to pay for achieving so many great things.  You can make a donation in one of our pop-up stores, when you check out or online here
